it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2021 International Conference on Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing (ISM), a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange, review and discussion of theoretical advances, research results, and industrial experiences, among scientists, researchers, decision makers, practitioners and students around the topics of the Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing.

Proceedings and Indexing

ISM represents a greatly valuable outlet for your research. The proceedings of the past editions of ISM are published as dedicated issues in the Open Access and SCOPUS-indexed Elsevier Procedia Manufacturing and Procedia Computer Science. Several special issues on top-ranked international journals are also traditionally associated to the conference, thus giving the authors the opportunity to extend their work on a journal right after the conference. More information will be available on the website in the next months.

Topics & Tracks

Authors are invited to submit a regular or short paper (3-10 pages) on the following topics. Nevertheless, papers dealing with other Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing topics are also welcome.

Key Due Dates
Please, remember the following key due dates for the submission:

• Special Session/Open Track Proposal Deadline: April 30, 2021
• Full paper submission: June 30th, 2021.
• Notification of Acceptance & Review Reports: July 31, 2021
• Camera-ready Paper Submission Deadline: September 15, 2021
• Final notification: September 30, 2021

Venue ISM 2021 wi be held in the modern University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Hagenberg Campus, part of park Softwarell Hagenberg, the largest technology park for software in Central Europe. Located just 20km north of Linz, Hagenberg is an idyllic town in the beautiful Mühlviertel, in the heart of Upper Austria. Participants accommodation will be in Linz, the nearby capital of Upper Austria. ISM 2021 will be carried out in a form that will be appropriate with the restrictions and precautions from the current pandemic. A decision about the event format and participation options will be announced in the next months. Participation fees will vary according to the format we can offer.

We will keep the ISM website updated. Meanwhile, we encourage you to continue your plans to write and submit your work so that you can make your contribution to ISM!
