One of the dimensions of IFSAM mission (in its Statutes) is to reflect about, establish and maintain standards of competence in management research (as well as teaching and practice), with a contextualized perspective.
Thus, following up the recent Financial Times (FT) survey on management research and publications, IFSAM has launched a webinar series (using zoom) on the topic of management research (quality) evaluation across the world: https://www.ifsam.org/ifsam-webinars/
The monthly series will comprise 5 webinars: four devoted each to a particular stakeholder group and a final, closing one, going from Jan to May.
As you can see in the webpage through the link above, the first webinar will take place on Jan 29 (3-5 pm CET) with editors of leading scientific journals and officers of different scholarly and management schools’ associations across the world, as well as the editor of the FT in charge of global higher education, including the FT survey on management research.
The three webinars to follow will be with representatives of three other types of stakeholders in the panel: university presidents and deans of management schools on Feb 24, editors of publishing houses with management journals and books in late March (THIS IS FOR EGEA SPEECH) and ministries/research agencies in charge of management research evaluation in late April. The final, closing one will be in May with representatives from each stakeholder group. At the end of this series in May, we would like the IFSAM Council to issue a position statement.
